Description

Explore the villages on the slopes of Montagne St. Victoire on this day trip from Marseilles. Visit 2 or 3 wineries, enjoy lunch in a typical Provençal (optional) restaurant, and taste the local whites, reds, and rosés. Meet your driver in Marseilles and head out into the country. Drive east of Aix-en-Provence to reach Vallée de l’arc, a natural spot for vine cultivation. As you drive, admire Montagne St. Victoire to the north and the massive Sainte-Baume to the south. Stop at anywhere between 2 and 3 wineries and taste the fruit of the vine. Enjoy whites, rosés, and reds from the region. During your trip, stop for a delicious traditional lunch at a local tavern (optional). We will start our day with a visit of downtown Aix en Provence, its fountains, mansions and the cathedral Saint Sauveur (1:30). We will then leave for an immersion in the world of the painter Cézanne (optional) with the visit of his workshop (ticket not included 6,5 euros). Going through 'the painters' field' and 'Cézanne's portal'. After being energized, we will continue our journey towards Château Lacoste and where we will enjoy the various exhibitions of contemporary art, a visit to the vineyards and a wine tasting to end this day. in beauty !
