Description
Begin at the Calanque de Port-Miou, a natural harbor 1,400 meters long featuring a marina, former limestone quarry, and an underground river. The name means “the best port” in Provençal, reflecting its geography and history.
Follow the rocky coastline to the Calanque of Port-Pin, near Marseille. This calanque shelters a pebble beach and turquoise waters ideal for a swim during a break. The hike continues along the peninsula between the two calanques on a wild, rugged trail.
The terrain is stony and requires an easy to medium fitness level.
