Discover the iconic vineyards of the Southern Rhône Valley on an exclusive day dedicated to the prestigious wines of Gigondas and Châteauneuf du Pape.
Your day begins with a personalized pick-up at 9:00 AM from Aix-en-Provence or its surrounding area, the cruise terminal of Marseille Le Luberon, the Alpilles, or Avignon. The route is flexible, and the order of the visits will be adjusted to ensure optimal comfort and to make the most of each stage of the day.
We start with Gigondas, a charming village perched at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, offering an exceptional panorama of the vineyards and, in the distance, the majestic Mount Ventoux. The limestone and clay soils give the wines of Gigondas finesse, structure, and elegance.
At 10 a.m., you will enjoy a visit and wine tasting at a carefully selected winery, chosen according to availability at the time of booking. This visit allows you to discover the wine-making methods and the history of the region, and to savor refined cuvées typical of the terroir. Depending on the estate, it is also possible to visit the vineyards to better understand the terroir and its influence on the wines.
Free time for lunch in the charming village, in the shade of the centenary plane trees, offering an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. Depending on your preferences, a meal can be casual or gourmet, with a focus on local and seasonal produce.
The afternoon is dedicated to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, world-renowned for its soils of rounded pebbles and sand, which store heat and produce powerful, complex wines of exceptional elegance. A second private tasting will allow you to enjoy these great wines in a prestigious setting. Between visits, you can admire the seemingly endless vineyards and the typical architecture of Provençal estates, while enjoying a peaceful and refined atmosphere.
Please note that entry and tasting fees at both estates are not included in the tour price and will be payable directly on site, depending on the estate chosen. The tours and tastings are also subject to availability, and the program can be adjusted to allow, if possible, an encounter with the vineyards and additional immersion in the terroir.
