Description
After pickup in front of Hôtel Bristol in Avignon, the tour begins with a visit to a viewpoint overlooking Les Baux-de-Provence, a medieval limestone village known for its historic fortress and regional influence.
The next stop is Carrières des Lumières, an indoor quarry presenting changing thematic light shows projected on its walls and floor, featuring artists such as Van Gogh and exploring various historical themes.
From April to October, the tour includes a guided visit to Moulin Castelas olive oil mill, followed by an outdoor picnic under fig trees featuring fresh local products like eggs, tapenades, goat cheese, seasonal fruits, and fruit juice.
Afterwards, the tour continues with a walk through the Old Town of Arles, exploring landmarks such as the cathedral, cloister, amphitheater, Van Gogh's café, and ancient Roman sites.
Finally, visitors have free time in Saint Rémy de Provence, a town with Roman ruins, a Roman Arc de Triomphe, and connections to Van Gogh, before returning to Avignon for drop-off.
