The tour begins in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, where you have free time to explore its streets. On Wednesdays, the town hosts a lively open-air market featuring local produce and crafts. You will stop to photograph the Roman monument 'Les Antiques' and may visit Saint-Paul-de-Mausole hospital, where Van Gogh was interned (ticket not included).
Next, visit Les Baux-de-Provence, a village with preserved medieval streets and castle ruins. From the rocky plateau, enjoy views of the surrounding landscape. There is an option to attend the Carrières de Lumière multimedia show (ticket not included), though it may be closed in winter.
The final stop is Arles, known for its Roman sites and Van Gogh’s artistic legacy. Follow his footsteps through locations depicted in his 1888 paintings. Arles hosts a weekly market on Saturday mornings. Lunch is on your own during the day.
