Description
The tour starts in Viareggio, northern Tuscany, approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Florence and 30 minutes from Pisa. The journey follows the Italian coast through towns including Santo Stefano Magra, Chiavari, and Genova. Cyclists will cross the Passo del Bracco and continue along the Ligurian coast through Savona, Imperia, Sanremo, and Ventimiglia.
Upon crossing into France, the route covers the French Riviera, including Menton, Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Sainte-Maxime, La Ciotat, and Marseille. Riders will explore the Camargue region, known for its natural wildlife such as pink flamingos and bulls, before continuing through Montpellier, Béziers, Narbonne, and Perpignan.
The Spanish portion begins in Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. The tour continues through Girona and the Costa Brava, concluding in Barcelona near the Sagrada Família.
This is a daytime guided tour operating from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily. Accommodation is not included, allowing participants to select their own lodging — whether camping with the group or choosing hotels, B&Bs, or other options independently. Each morning, participants meet the guide at 7:30 AM at a pre-arranged meeting point.
The tour ends in Barcelona; return transport is not included. Participants can use their own bicycles or e-bikes, or a bike/e-bike is provided free of charge if needed.
