Description
The day starts with a traditional French breakfast at Brasserie Le Grand Escalier in Marseille, served from 7:45 am (8:30 am on weekends). Meet your guide and fellow participants while enjoying a “petit-déjeuner” including coffee, tea, juice, croissant or pain au chocolat, and a complete omelette.
At 8:35 am (9:35 am on weekends), take a 38-minute scenic train ride from Marseille Saint-Charles station to Carry-Le-Rouet along the Mediterranean coast. If you plan to join directly at the destination or train station, contact info@ontreatours.com for train ticket details and next steps.
Follow your guide on a nature walk along the coastline, exploring fossils, local plants, and wildlife that date back 25 million years. Enjoy photo opportunities and receive a complimentary family Polaroid photo during the tour.
Pause at a beach café for a short break and refreshments before continuing to Sausset-Les-Pins. Here, take time to snorkel with colorful fish, swim, and relax. Lunch is available at several nearby beach cafés or a local grocery store. Pre-ordered lunch options may be arranged by contacting info@ontreatours.com.
The guide provides some snorkeling masks; guests are welcome to bring their own masks, bathing suits, towels, and sunscreen. Public restrooms are available at the beach location.
After swimming, prepare for an optional 20€ Calanques boat tour, weather permitting. Alternatives will be offered if you prefer not to join the boat trip.
The day concludes with options for French crêpes, ice cream sundaes with local flavors, and a ride on the summer ferris wheel, weather permitting. Return train schedules to Marseille Saint-Charles vary.
