My name is Claude, I am from Marseille and I have welcomed more than 1,000 travelers over the past 5 years in my free time. This year I decided to share with you my 100% Marseille tour on GetYourGuide. Let yourself be guided, I'll take care of everything! I know my city like the back of my hand, with its historic and picturesque neighborhoods. We will discover the traditional Panier district as well as the most beautiful picturesque and secret places of old Marseille. Our tour: 1/ We will begin our walk around the Old Port. Head to the Greek and Roman remains where I will explain the beautiful history of Marseille since its 2600 years of existence. 2/ We will continue towards the City Hall district and I will show you the hidden alleys of old Marseille and its discreet corners that only Marseille residents know. You will discover the Hôtel Dieu, the old court, the Accoules church. 3/ Then we will head towards the Panier district, the oldest district of Marseille. I will explain the history of Le Panier to you and we will go for a stroll through its alleys. 4/ Return to the Old Port, near the Town Hall. You will discover the whole history of the oldest French port.
