Departing from the Mucem at Marseille’s Old Port entrance, this 2-hour semi-rigid boat tour carries up to 10 guests with a local skipper. Experience Marseille’s maritime landscape before heading toward Château d’If and the Frioul archipelago.
From the start, enjoy views of the Mucem, Fort Saint-Jean, Marseille Cathedral (La Major), and Old Port entrance from a unique vantage point. Approach the Château d’If, famously featured in Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo. Your skipper will share historical insights and anecdotes about the area.
Continue navigating around the Frioul Islands, passing limestone cliffs, secluded coves, and clear waters. Depending on sea conditions, explore areas near Pomègues and Ratonneau islands, the Cambrettes cove, or other spots accessible only by boat.
The tour features a swim stop in a protected Frioul cove. Take advantage of the turquoise water to swim, relax, and snorkel. Masks and snorkels are provided to observe rock formations, seagrass beds, and local fish species.
The skipper selects the swim location based on wind, sea state, and crowd levels, ensuring optimal safety and comfort. After swimming, enjoy panoramic views of Marseille en route back to the Mucem. The itinerary may adjust to weather and maritime conditions.
