Description

Discover Marseille's oldest district on a fun, interactive, and cultural tour with one of our exceptional guides, departing from the Old Port, the heart of the city. On the program: discover iconic monuments, local flavors and scents, activities, and quizzes (with prizes to be won). Starting from the Old Port, you will visit the remains of the ancient port, where the Greeks settled more than 2,600 years ago (already) - between pirate stories and fishermen's secrets, you'll embark on an adventure between past and present, followed by a cultural quiz and a stop at the Hôtel de Cabre, the oldest existing house in Marseille. You will continue the tour with a stop at the majestic Intercontinental, which overlooks the Old Port and offers a breathtaking view of the legendary Bonne Mère, giving you a taste of life in Marseille. Then, the first game to delight your senses: qu'es aco ces savons? A scent game based on the city's flagship product, the incomparable Marseille soap. The aim is simple: you have to recognize and differentiate between the scents of different soaps blindfolded. The winner will leave with a soap of their choice. Our guide will then take you to the cradle of the city, the Panier district. You will discover the colorful and historic streets on a street art hunt; you will take part in the tour by taking photos of yourself in front of the many graffiti murals. The best photo will win a prize, so get your cameras ready! :) Now it's time for the unmissable activity that Marseille is famous for: pétanque. You'll take part in a tournament in a traditional club, where you'll learn how to shoot for points while enjoying a local drink and admiring Notre Dame de la Garde. There will also be a quiz on the Marseille dialect. At the end of the three games, the winner will receive a 100% Marseille-made jack. Time for a tasting! Come and savor panisses and immerse yourself in their typical Marseille history, then take part in the Pastis Blind Test, a blind tasting of the famous aniseed-flavored drink. A non-alcoholic version is available for tasting. The prize? A local drink for the winner!
