Meet your guide at Place de la Joliette, near the port terminal. Begin at the Mucem, a modern building designed by Rudy Ricciotti featuring black perforated concrete symbolizing a bridge between past and present.
Cross the bridge to Fort Saint-Jean, built in 1660 by Louis XIV to control Marseille. Discover its history as a barracks and prison while taking views of Notre-Dame de la Garde and the port entrance.
