Description

Meet at 10 am at 2 rue de la Loge, 13002 Marseille, at the bike rental shop. The guide provides a tour overview, helmet distribution, and instructions on using the electric bikes and safety gear. After a test ride and bike adjustments, the tour begins.

The route includes:

• MuCEM and Villa Méditerranée, with an introduction to the Cosquer Cave
• La Major Cathedral (optional visit), with its history presented
• Place Bargemon via Le Panier and Place de Lenche, highlighting Hôtel Dieu, La Maison Diamantée, and Marseille City Hall
• L’Ombrière designed by Norman Foster and an overview of Vieux Port
• Le Pharo and Bassin du Carénage, including historical context
• La Corniche John Kennedy with a stop at the monument to the colonial armies and Château d’If
• La Corniche continued, including the Hélice de César sculpture
• Optional 20-minute break at a French bakery
• Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica with a 20-30 minute stop for visits, refreshments, and restroom access

The tour concludes at 1 pm back at the bike shop. After the ride, the guide can advise on visiting Tour St Jean Gardens, MuCEM, the historic Le Panier neighborhood, or shopping at Terrasses du Port.
