Description

Your hike begins at the picturesque port of La Madrague, a small haven of peace nestled between the hills and the Mediterranean. From the very first steps, you are immersed in the Provençal atmosphere, with the sea as a backdrop. You then leave the coastline to take a path through the vineyards: here, your guide will reveal the local wine-growing history, the grape varieties cultivated and the importance of the terroir in the identity of Saint-Cyr. The route continues through the garrigue, where the scents of pine, thyme and rosemary accompany your gradual ascent. Once you reach the top of the sand dune, an exceptional geological formation dating back several thousand years, you will enjoy a spectacular panorama of the bay of Saint-Cyr and the Bec de l'Aigle in La Ciotat. Your guide will explain how this dune was formed over the years. A break is planned at the top to contemplate the view, understand this unique landscape shaped by time, and of course take all the souvenir photos you want!
